Federal Work Study Student employees will assist Physical Sciences Lab Technicians with the preparation, organization, and storage of laboratory materials, including supplies, glassware, equipment, and chemicals. Duties include maintaining lab housekeeping standards such as washing glassware and restocking classrooms with gloves, communal supplies, and distilled water as needed.

Students may receive training, under supervision, to assist with basic chemical solution preparation and chemical dispensing. Additional responsibilities include assisting with chemical labeling and preparation sheet printing using Microsoft Publisher and Excel.

Students may also support Lab Technicians during Chemistry-related events or demonstrations, including serving as volunteers during scheduled work hours.
